Hoodia Gordonii Seed Guide - the most profitable, small farm compatible, fully sustainable, crop in history.
Hoodia Gordonii Seed
hoodia gordonii seed - how to get it, grow it, reproduce it. The Hoodia Gordonii plant takes years to grow, is rare, and until recently only grew in the wild. Lately, a number of growers have set up farms and commercially develop the rare plant. This proved to be the only way to provide sustainable quantities of the material to consumers. If you haven't tried the product for weight loss then see our Hoodia Sales page for a real treat. Hoodia Gordonii is a leafless, spiky succulent cactus that grows naturally in South Africa and is now being farm raised in the United States in anticipation of the HUGE advertising push that will begin by the owners of SlimFast in the year 2007. There are over 40 species of Hoodia but only 2 that contain enough of the appetite suppressant known by some as P 57 to be of any value.
HoodiasUSA is the only US based grower of real South African Hoodia and sells hoodia plants and seeds. If you want to lose weight these plants take a little work to clean for chewing, but they do suppress the appetite. If you are a grower and want to get in on making the big money that is coming from natural Hoodia wholesalers buying up everything they can get thier hands on, then buy some plants now. If you plan on using Hoodia long term like the Sans Bushmen do for appetite control they are perfect as well but you will need to buy a few of them and reproduce them. Make sure to buy the big ones like the 8 or 9" if they have them.
Below is one US based growers strategy for using hoodia seed to grow the plant, reap raw hoodia fiber for using in diets, harvest more seeds and repeat the process. This may prove to be one of the most profitable, small farm compatible, fully sustainable, crops in history.
1. I have been growing Hoodia Gordonii seed for the last six years, and just like you I see their potential as a cash crop! I have a lot of experience with the propagation, cultivation and general care of these plants. I've seen these plants sprout, I've seen them grow, I've seen them flower, I've seen them produce "seed Pods" and I've been very succesful at getting freshly sprouted seedlings to grow madly and reach "adult" flowering size in as short a time as 3 years! In the wild, it takes a plant at least 6 years on average to reach the critical flowering stage. I've found that if you do all that you can to give these plants what they want and need that they will reward you with brisk growth.
2. I have thousands of my own seeds (from last year's and the year before's summer harvest), I have about 50 seedlings, about 30 one year old plants, and about 32 large (over 10" plants) and 5 "adult" flowering plants.
Gibberellic Acid (GA3) is used to get the plants to germinate more often, grow quicker, produce blooms and flowers faster, and even to set larger amounts of seed! It is truely a wonderful growth enhancer. Do you ever have mold problems with your seedlings? I try to grow organiclly when I can, but an ugly, grey, and
hairy mold almost always appears in my germinating dishes about two weeks after I first set one up. I sterilize eveything like your supposed to (dish, tools, etc.), and I use sterilized soil (nuked in a microwave) and I use deionized, bottled water. Yet despite my best efforts, about 9 out of 10 germinating dishes get the mold and I end up having to use Daconil and other fungicides to save the baby seedlings.
Phytopharm has partnered with Unilever who makes SLIMFAST with the intentions of having their new Hoodia containing, Super Slimfast products on store shelves by 2008? This is when the all out media blitz will start on the virtues of this plant and as a result this will be when "prime time" plant selling season will most likely occur. Think about it, most people that you meet don't have a clue about what Hoodia is until you tell them about it. Right? This is despite the fact that Hoodia was on 60 minutes last November and has occasionally been mentioned now and then on different media outlets.
When Phytopharm and Unilever are ready, there is going to be an advertising frenzy, not to mention lots of free media publicity. I'd say that by mid 2007 the serious, heavy duty, Hoodia rush will be on. Just after the last major media story on 60 minutes, I personally witnessed "adult" Hoodia plants selling for upwards of $800.00 on eBay! Imagine what kinds of prices Hoodia plants will be fetch in 2008 when everybody REALLY knows about this plant! Right now is the quiet before the storm. This is the time to grow as many plants as you can, as quickly as you can. This is the time to get your hands on as many seeds as you can. This is the time to get as many "varieties" or "strains" of Hoodia Gordonii seed as you can. This is the time to get everything ready for the crazy 2007 rush so that you can ride the wave of prosperity that will be created when the "Hoodia Craze" hits and every breathing American knows what Hoodia is.

This website has 77+ pages of information on Hoodia Gordonii and how it will definitely make you lose weight. If your tired of reading and just want to order some visit these companies. They seem to have the best deal. I ordered mine on Monday and had it sent overnight. Started taking Hoodia on Tuesday night and didn't eat again until Friday night at a late party. I wasn't really hungry then but I didn't want to be rude at my wife's get together. Anyway I have been taking the Hoodia Gordonii for 2 months now and the results are incredible. I only eat when I want to now, and at special events, because I really have no appetite to speak of. The plant is so strong it even takes away your thirst, so make sure and drink lots of water! It feels pretty cool not being controlled by stomach pains.
