I just bought a box of hoodia lollipops. How many lollipops do I need to suck on each day. I am 5′6″ and weigh 185 pounds. When will I start seeing results?

I would stick with capsules if I were seriously trying to maximize my weight loss. I have seen no studies or proof of hoodia lollipops working.

Low-carb weight loss diets do work and here is why. A short-term study has the answer. Temple University researchers show participants in the newest study lost weight as they restricted carbohydrates because they ate fewer calories. Period.
The researchers found no evidence to support other popular theories for why low-carb diets work, such as the idea that calories from carbs are somehow burned less efficiently than calories from other sources.
“It had nothing to do with water being shed or with carbohydrates being somehow different in the way that they are metabolized by the body,” lead researcher Martha Wilmington, MD, tells us.
“The people in our study ate less. It was a simple as that. Some very prominent researchers have bought into the idea that you can cut carbohydrates without cutting calories and lose weight. We found that people lost weight because they took in fewer calories.” This is why Hoodia works so well. People are able to lose weight immediately while being able to use it long term as well to reduce calorie intake.
Our hoodia is now being used to make organic pills that kill the appetite and consequently help stop obesity. Hoodia has no known side-effects. It contains unique molecules that makes your brain think you are full. The prickly cactus called the Hoodia grows naturally ONLY In the African Kalahari desert. It thrives in extremely high desert temperatures, and takes many years to mature.

This hoodia site http://ahoodia.com has some fairly advanced eating strategies. Do you agree with them in conjunction with hoodia for weight loss?

Yes especially the “eating slowly” part as it is clearly one of the best simple strategies for reducing caloric intake.

Medicine interaction? Hoodia has NOT been shown to negatively effect people taking medicines for heart disease, arthritis, blood pressure, hypertension, multi-vitamins, glucosamine, diabetes, anti-depressants, chondroitin, calcium, etc. It ONLY affects the brains signals concerning hunger and thirst.

Hoodia is too expensive for me but I need to lose weight. What suggestions do you have and what can I do?

The money you save on food you don’t eat when taking the pills more than makes up for the pill cost. Do the math and you will see. Besides how can you think that your health and well being is TOO expensive? The value of a great body, self esteem, health and vigor cannot be underestimated. So don’t worry about the up front “cost” of the pills.

How do you get enough nutrition while not eating a lot on hoodia?

I didn’t worry about nutrition. But you can certainly take multi vitamins. My goal was to lose weight, get fit, then start again with a balanced healthy well rounded diet. There is no reason to eat unhealthy or eat so as to NOT have enough nutrition.

Some days I have a really hard time controlling my craving for more food even though I am not hungry. I am used to eating just because there is nothing else to do. So should I take more hoodia?

Hoodia is subtle. Everyone thinks that they are suppose to feel something but the feeling of not being hungry is it. When you are not hungry DON’T EAT, that’s the hoodia working! Instead of taking a trip to the kitchen do something constructive like love, give, exercise, play, laugh and move on till the next scheduled meal time. Read Food and Eating Strategies to keep you moving through this mental transition.
